Woman killed in storm chaos in Victoria,Melbourne

POWERFUL winds killed at least one person as wild weather swept across southern Australia today, causing mayhem in Victoria.
People were warned to stay out of central Melbourne and thousands of homes in Victoria were left without power as winds of up to 100km/h hit the state.
Strong winds also struck South Australia and Tasmania.
A woman in her late 50's was killed when a wall collapsed in Mentone in Melbourne's south this afternoon as she was walking pass a post office at Mentone.
An ambulance spokesman said the woman was walking in a laneway beside shops when the wall fell on top of her. She died at the scene.
